Principal's Message

Dear parents and students of Holloman Elementary School,

It is with a great deal of excitement and anticipation that I welcome you to Holloman Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year!  We have so much to look forward to in working together to provide your child with the excellent educational experience you have come to expect from our school.

As I return to the helm of HES for this school year, I am honored to again serve as principal and anticipate building on some of the successful initiatives that we began last year. For those of you that will be joining us for the first time, we welcome you to our family with open arms.  Know that my office door is always open, and I am here to serve you and your child as we work together to pursue academic excellence. I firmly believe that learning should be a fun and exciting process and look forward to a great year!

Registration will be online this year and will go “live” on July 25, 2019. On July 25, 26, and 29 HES will have our computer lab open and computers on so that we can help you with any problems you might encounter in this new process. Lists showing your child’s teacher assignment will be posted at the school on Monday August 5th in the afternoon.

HES will hold a meet and greet teacher night on August the 6th from 4:00 to 5:30. You will be able to meet your child’s teacher and see where their classroom is located in the school. You may also want to bring school supplies that night to alleviate having to do that the first day of school. The evening will begin in the Blue Room where I will welcome you and go over all procedures that will help you and your child navigate the beginning of the school year smoothly and efficiently.

We have an awesome slate of PTO officers that have already been hard at work striving to make this the best year ever for HES. I encourage you to join them in volunteering on our campus. We love having parents and community volunteers working with us for the betterment of our student population. They will have a table set up at the meet and greet so you can explore the many volunteer options.  We encourage all parents to take an active role in their child’s education because we believe that the educational success of a student often depends on how effectively educators and parents work as a team.

HES is proud to have the Eagle as our mascot and gold and royal blue as our school colors. Our theme this year is “galactic” so not only will our Eagles be soaring in Tiger Country, we expect to have out of this world success navigating our galaxy! And we are definitely glad to have YOU as a part of our team!
